WATERSIDE

Cottage from £120 per night

One of the best things about Waterside is walking into the property. It’s like walking into an upside-down boat. It’s beaten by the panoramic view from the balcony. You can enjoy a view over the water from the open plan living area on the second floor.
 
Looking forward to fishing, pop out onto the deck below.
Or take a day boat (provided free of charge outside school holidays.) It’s a great way to get up close and into the Norfolk Broads
Canoes are also available to hire on-site,
 
Waterside, situated in a working boatyard,  is 5 mins walk from the shops, pubs and restaurants in Hoveton and Wroxham. Including Roys – which some claim is the worlds largest village store
 
Take a turn to the left and a 20 min drive, or train journey will find you in the fine city of Norwich. 20 mins in the opposite direction gets you to the coast, Waxham beach is a real favourite. especially if you like seal colonies

Day Boat

A day boat is provided free of charge outside of school holidays

We offer a 10% discount on day boat hire during the school holidays. This applies between Sat 24th May and Sun 1st June 2025 & from Wed 23rd July – Tue 2nd September 2025.

 
Pet Charges
 
We charge an extra cleaning fee of £35 per week per dog and a £50 refundable deposit. We collect the deposit at the beginning of your holiday and refund you as you leave

We aim to have properties ready by 4 pm on the day of arrival.

Keys to your property can be picked up from Barnes Brinkcraft’s main reception.

Please let us know if you are arriving late, and we will leave the keys in a safe for you.

The welcome pack contains tea, coffee, biscuits and some useful information about the area and a map of the broads.

Provided you have holidayed with Barnes Brinkcraft in the last four years and booked direct with Barnes Brinkcraft, you should receive a hamper on your next visit. Please phone the office if it hasn’t been listed on your confirmation details.

Broads and barnes is for us the best boatyard. Customer service is always 5 stars, the boats are quality and easy to handle . We have hired a variety of sizes of boat from the 2/4 berth encore to a 10 berth melody, depending how many family has come with us. The little touches like a welcome bottle of bubbly and a fantastic hamper for returning customers really make a great start to a holiday on a barnes cruise. We love the broads and barnes do all they can to make sure you're experience on the rivers is the best it can be. We are currently looking forward to our week on the new Chorus 2 in July 2026 and have already booked with barnes for 2027 on chorus3 ."
