Coot is one of 4 Norfolk Broads Cottages built by the river to replace boatyard sheds.  It’s an excellent choice for a family break by the waterside. Try your luck at fishing from the garden or boat (available for free outside school hols). Or take in the views from the balcony. A 5 min walk into the village takes you to a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs, gift shops and takeaways. On-site canoe, rowing and paddleboard hire is also available. This property has an adjoining door to Grebe, providing accommodation for up to 16

Coot is situated next to 2 other waterside holiday homes Grebe and Heron. Opposite Barnes Brinkcraft’s boatyard.

Day Boat

The cottage includes the use of a day boat during your stay, except during selected school holiday periods.

For 2027, day boats are not included from Saturday 29 May to Sunday 6 June and from Thursday 22 July to Sunday 5 September. During these excluded dates, cottage guests receive 10% off day boat hire.

Please note that our day boats can carry a maximum of 8 people.

Canoes are also available to hire on site

Pets

We charge an extra cleaning fee of £35 per week per dog and a £50 refundable deposit. We collect the deposit at the beginning of your holiday and refund you as you leave
