We’re rather pleased to share some good news! Barnes Brinkcraft has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Self Catering category of the 2027 Suffolk & Norfolk Tourism Awards.
Our entry focused on something we’re particularly proud of, our Brinks Prelude class of electric drive cruisers, designed and built by our own team here in Wroxham.
A Quieter, Greener Way to Explore the Broads
We’ve been helping people enjoy boating holidays on the Norfolk Broads for over 50 years, and we’re always looking at ways to make those holidays more sustainable.
Our Brinks Prelude class is a great example of this. These spacious electric hybrid cruisers offer quieter cruising, with less engine noise above and below the water, helping to reduce disturbance to the Broads’ wonderful wildlife.
And there’s no compromise on comfort. With four cabins, two shower rooms, a spacious saloon and an upper deck for enjoying the views, Prelude is designed for families and groups of friends to enjoy the Broads together.

A Proud Moment for Our Team
Being named a finalist means a great deal to us. It’s lovely recognition for the hard work that goes into designing and building our boats, and for our ongoing commitment to developing more sustainable tourism on the Broads.
We’re not suggesting that one boat will change the world, but we believe that making practical improvements, one step at a time, really does matter.
A big thank you to our whole team for helping us reach the finals. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the awards, but whatever happens, we’re delighted to have made the shortlist.
