Winter Boat Crew with Summer Progression
Seasonal Boat Crew – Outdoor, Practical Work (Barnes Brinkcraft, Hoveton)
We’re looking for 4 practical, fit people to join our winter boat crew at Barnes Brinkcraft.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role working on hire boats on the Norfolk Broads. The work is physical, varied and very real – perfect if you’d rather be outside doing something useful than stuck behind a counter.
The role – Winter (all 4 positions)
Cleaning and polishing hire boats
Helping prepare boats for the season
General yard and boat work
Working outdoors in all weathers (yes, even Norfolk winter ones)
Summer progression (for the right people)
2 roles on our busy day boat site – customer-facing, lively, weekends required
2 roles as yard hands – boat movements, yard work, supporting engineers
What we’re looking for
Fit, practical and reliable
Happy working outdoors and getting stuck in
Comfortable working weekends during the summer season
Some boating knowledge is helpful but not essential
A good attitude matters more than qualifications
This role will NOT suit you if:
You want most summer weekends free
You have regular sailing or racing commitments
You’re looking for indoor or desk-based work
